You can take the bus 72 to reach downtown, or drive (and park) to the Fermi station (a 10 min drive) to be on a subway line...

If you're looking for a good central base to explore Turin then I can recommend Hotel Victoria. Great location close to most sights as well as the main train station. Staff were helpful and a good continental breakfast, although I did personally find the English Breakfast tea to be very weak tasting. Rooms are a good size and nice touch of offering a small selection of drinks from minibar at no charge.
